I am a mother, wife, and author from a little town in Northern Iowa. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have 4 children and 1 granddaughter.

Our oldest daughter lives in Florida with her husband and our granddaughter. Our Son, the second oldest, is in the United States Marine Corp. and is going through school for Counter Intelligence, while his wife finishes up school as a special education teacher. Our middle daughter lives in Southern Iowa with her boyfriend and is a CNA for a large Assisted Living facility.  Our youngest daughter just left this year for college and is enrolled in the nursing program. Her plan is to one day be a Traveling RN.

I love many things but spending time with my family and writing are the two I spend most of my time doing.  I work from home so this has allowed me more time to focus on writing, my husband, and our furbabies.

In third grade I remember checking out from the library my very first R.L. Stein book. From there I was hooked on spooky stories. I started writing shortly after that and at the time I thought it was more "doodling" than anything. But, when our third grade teacher wanted us to write a three-page paper, the story spilled out on paper and I turned in a fifteen page paper.
I am a pretty clumsy person, I have broken my tailbone two times in less than six years (as a teenager). The first time I fell down a flight of stairs when the children I was babysitting put toy cars that I didn't see. And the second I was rollerskating and their wheels were defective, and two locked up.
My husband and I were extras in a movie that was filmed fifteen minutes from our home. The movie is called When Jack Came Back and was directed by Thor Moreno and Annette Duffy.
FAVORITE TV SHOWS:  My husband and I watch a variety of shows, but a few of my favorites would be "The Masked Singer", "The Voice", "The Resident", "9-1-1 ", "9-1-1 Lone Star", "Survivor", and "The Curse of Oak Island." Those are just a few, but there are a few others that I like to watch when we have time.
FAVORITE MUSIC:  I am a huge country music fan. The very first concert I ever attended was at the Iowa State Fair, and I had the pleasure to see Brooks & Dunn. They put on an amazing show! My husband and I were privileged to do a meet and greet with Cassadee Pope after her opening for Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry back in 2013. That was right after she won The Voice.
FAVORITE FOOD: Chocolate. Haha, okay I will be serious, pasta & potatoes. I am a picky eater but I do love chicken tacos on top of pasta and chocolate. I am obsessed with Hershey Kisses.
FAVORITE MOVIES:  I am always up for a sappy movie, but every once in a while I am good with a good suspense movie.

I have had the privilege to travel and see so many extraordinary things, and let's not forget about the readers I have met along the way.
